Harmony Walk

The goal of this project was to design an outdoor recreational space for students studying at the Baruch Institute in South Carolina. Because the institute lies in an ecologically sensitive part of the state, it was important to be as low impact as possible.

To achieve this, I designed a nature boardwalk that takes advantage of the two different plant typologies on the site, and enhances them rather than replacing them. By researching the local plant communities, I was able to create a unique experience that provides a fun and adaptable walk for students while still putting the local ecosystems first.
